About STEMStart
STEMStart is a bridging course designed to help participants strengthen their knowledge and build solid theoretical and practical foundations for future academic or professional work in technical fields.
All classes are conducted in English.
Please note: Completing the STEMStart bridging course does not guarantee admission to any degree programme at a higher education institution.
Admission Requirements
To apply for the STEMStart bridging course, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- have completed secondary education and hold a valid certificate,
- submit an English language certificate at B2 level or higher, accepted for admission to degree programmes with English as the language of instruction at the Warsaw University of Technology,
- sign the Participation Agreement,
- pay the full tuition fee before the course begins.
Programme Details
STEMStart is an on-site course covering 600 lesson hours, conducted over two semesters of 300 hours each. The course includes 20 hours of classes per week.

Programme Details
STEMStart is divided into two semesters. Each semester includes six courses that participants are required to complete. The total number of learning hours during the STEMStart is: 600 hours (300 hours per each semester).
Courses conducted during STEMStart:
- Mathematics,
- Physics,
- Introduction to Information Technologies (IT),
- Introduction to Engineering,
- Chemistry,
- English,
- Polish,
- Polish Culture.
Courses conducted during the winter semester:
- English (60 hours),
- Polish (30 hours),
- Polish Culture (30 hours),
- Mathematics (60 hours),
- Physics (60 hours),
- Introduction to Information Technologies (60 hours).
Courses conducted during the summer semester:
- English (60 hours),
- Polish (60 hours),
- Mathematics (60 hours),
- Physics (60 hours),
- Introduction to Engineering (30 hours),
- Chemistry (30 hours).
Exams and completion
After each semester, participants attend an examination session with exams in all courses completed during that semester.
To receive the Certificate of Completion, participants must pass all compulsory courses conducted within STEMStart and maintain regular attendance.
Duration and Price
STEMStart begins in early October and ends in late June of the following calendar year.
The course follows the Academic Calendar of the Warsaw University of Technology for each academic year.
Classes are held Monday to Friday, according to a detailed semester schedule.
Fee
The total fee for participation in the STEMStart bridging course is PLN 18 900.
The fee must be paid in full and in advance, before the course begins.
Payments should be made by bank transfer in Polish currency to the designated account.
